Performance Racing Industry Show Dec 14-16, 2006
Eric and I attended the PRI show in Orlando last week. It was my first time at PRI. Eric scoped it out on Thursday and I joined him Friday and Saturday.
Manufacturers and distributors of automotive performance parts and services display their wares, introduce new products and educate the public about their area of specialty. It was a huge event held at the Orlando Convention Center. If you get the opportunity to go, wear comfortable shoes because you'll be walking for miles. It gave us a chance to meet old friends, create new ones and finally put a face to people we've spoken with but never met.
We went to identify new product lines and find out what it takes to carry them as well as find new stock lifts and closeouts. We found all of the above. As a result, we've expecting to take on three new lines (details when the deals are done) in this coming quarter. We also have 30 pallets of new stock lift merchandise coming in this Friday (we'll have a busy year end). That will boost our selection considerably. We've already received two more stock lift/closeout lists and expect a few more by year's end.
We've established ourselves as a source for companies to dispense of their lifts and closeouts. We don't always take them so we are always looking to help out and find a buyer. If you are interested in stock lifts or closeouts please email me at buyparts@swapmeetsupply.com with all of your contact information and the type of merchandise you might be interested in (domestic, sport compact, truck, RV, etc.). A lot of these deals are all or nothing and may involve thousands of dollars to tens of thousands of dollars. If an opportunity comes up, we'll let you know and share your contact info with the seller. We don't broker any deals but our own - so the negotiations are all up to you. Nor do we get anything out of your deals, except hopefully some goodwill.
